Akdeniz University Antalya Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz was elected as the President of the Turkish Association of Technology Parks
The 14th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Association of Technology Parks (TGBD), which carries out qualified activities as “Turkey's Technology Development Zones Network”, was held on Monday, 8 May. Antalya Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the General Assembly determined by the new board of directors to take charge from 2023 to 2025. Technology Development Zones General Managers from all over Turkey attended the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Association of Technology Parks.
WORKS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASING
Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. İbrahim Yavuz thanked the members of the board of directors and those who have been working since the establishment of the association. TGBD Chairman of the Board, who took over the flag, stated that the activities of the Turkish Association of Technology Parks will continue to increase. İbrahim Yavuz said that “In the new period, as our board of directors and supervisory board, we will do our best to make our technology development regions, which are the most valuable R&D and technology ecosystem of our country, to reach a better point.”
RANKED 7TH AMONG TECHNOPARKS
Akdeniz University Antalya Technopark ranks 7th among 98 technoparks in Turkey according to the Technopark Performance Index, which is prepared by taking into account 82 performance indicators such as R&D activities and outputs, intellectual property rights, and project support of companies. With its strong R&D ecosystem, Antalya Technopark hosts 220 companies in the fields of software, informatics, health, electricity-electronics, food, agriculture, and defense industries.
