ANTALYA TECHNOPARK IS AT THE TOP AGAIN
Akdeniz University Antalya Technopark rose one place according to Technopark Performance Index and ranked 7th among 97 technoparks. Rector Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan and Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz received the certificate of success from the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.
The 9th R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, was held in İzmir with the participation of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank. At the summit, the most successful technoparks were also announced according to the Technology Development Regions Performance Index. Akdeniz University Antalya Technopark rose to 7th among 97 technoparks in Technology Development Zones. Antalya Technopark General Manager Dr. İbrahim Yavuz said they combine academics, many industry experts and students in the same ecosystem to provide a strong synergy. He said by signing on many projects, they crowned their achievements and that Antalya Technopark became a key innovation center for the dreamed ideas to come true. Dr. Yavuz stated that as a result of these efforts, they are proud of placing the name of Akdeniz University Antalya Technopark at the summit by ranking 7th among the technoparks in Turkey at the 9th R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit.
82 PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ARE CONSIDERED
According to the Technoparks Performance Index; In addition to the R&D activities that the companies have made data entry, and the R&D outputs they have obtained as a result of these activities, the sum of tax exemptions, R&D income-expenses, and non-R&D income-expenses, the institutionalization, sustainability and ecosystem realized by the managing company 82 performance indicators in which development activities, intellectual property rights, project support, incubation, student-academic activities, Technology Transfer and cooperation activities were taken into consideration. 30 awards in 10 categories for R&D and Design Centers and 12 awards in 4 categories for technoparks were awarded to 42 award holders.
