The West Mediterranean Technocity Technology Development Zone was established on November 4, 2004 by the decision of the Council of Ministers. Antalya Technopark Manager and Operator Inc., which started its operations on January 1, 2005 with the law numbered 4691, is the company responsible for the management and operation of the region. Antalya Teknokent includes innovative companies that produce and use R&D-oriented advanced technology.

By synthesizing the innovative ideas of companies using advanced technology with the academic knowledge of Akdeniz University, it has adopted the mission of creating a resource for global competition by constantly increasing the share of technology in the economy and creating synergy between companies using or producing technology.
